The name of the lucky recipient, who bought a ticket for the June 20 draw, will be shrouded in secrecy until their ticket has been authenticated and they have decided if they want to go public with their good news.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said, “We are absolutely delighted that this lucky ticket-holder has come forward and claimed their prize.

“What an incredible opportunity this life-changing win presents, just imagine the possibilities for them for the next 12 months and beyond.

“It’s now our job to support the ticket-holder through the process - we support each and every National Lottery winner in the same way - and we will do this as quickly as possible to ensure they can very soon begin to enjoy their life-changing win.”

Set For Life is a draw-based launched in March 2019 which offers a top prize of £10,000 a month for 30 years if the five main numbers and the Life Ball are matched.
