A council has added appreciative road markings to roads outside a hospital to praise its "local healthcare heroes".

Medway Council has worked with its maintenance crews to spruce up the streets and add some colour in a sign of solidarity with NHS workers.

The new #ThankYouNHS road markings were unveiled in Marlborough Road and Montgomery Road in Gillingham
More road markings are being planned in areas such as Chatham

The road markings in Marlborough Road and Montgomery Road in Gillingham are located outside Medway Maritime Hospital.

They form part of the #ThankYouNHS campaign to show appreciation for those battling the virus and continuing to care for us throughout the pandemic.

Another is also being planned in Dock Road, Chatham, to show thanks for all key workers.
