A new Turkish restaurant is finally open after delays were caused by planning permission woes.
The Galata Diner and Cocktail Bar is now serving traditional Mediterranean cuisine to its customers in Watling Street, Gillingham.
Owner Muslum Tasdogan, who also runs Galata Mezze Bar and Restaurant in Rainham High Street previously said: "Not only will we be offering burgers, desserts and cocktails but also Turkish breakfasts."
The 34-year-old from Minster, Sheppey, has opened the eatery with his business partner and barman, 33-year-old Robert Dumitrescu.
In a social media post they announced: "Today is the day, our new restaurant is now open. So why not pop in?"
The new diner will be serving Turkish breakfasts, burgers and steaks with many more dishes to choose from.
There will also be a variety of drinks from milkshakes to cocktails and and warm drinks.
The Galata will be open from 8.30am until 9pm with no need to book. Takeaway is also available for collection.

Muslum began running the Rainham branch with his other business partner, Abuzer Karta, in November 2019.
Despite opening just before lockdown the pair applied to expand the premises in March last year saying they needed more room to meet demand.
However, it is only at the new branch that foodies will be able to enjoy a Turkish breakfast – alongside traditional English options.
