Clubbers were forced to evacuate a nightclub in the early hours of the morning.
The Tap 'n' Tin in Railway Street, Chatham, had to empty out into the street after one customer triggered the alarm system.
Party-goers were left standing in the street just after midnight for around 15 minutes while the problem was dealt with.
A spokesman explained: "It happens from time to time.
"It does cause a little bit of chaos but it was all over quickly.
"We train our staff and practice the procedure every week for these occasions. It is just a nuisance."
Videos from the evening are surfacing on social media showing crowds standing in the middle of the road and getting in the way of cars.
A similar incident happened back in 2017.
