Olympic boxing champion Anthony Joshua is in no hurry to get into the professional ring, he revealed in Medway on Friday.

The man who won Team GB’s 29th and final gold medal was the star guest at the Medway Sports Awards held at Rochester's Corn Exchange.

And he employed a ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’-style tactic when he “asked the audience” if he should become a pro fighter. The answer was stick with his successful amateur career - for now.

Winner of the overall award was Olympic trampolinist Kat Driscroll with hockey player Ashley Jackson second and international rugby player Rachael Burford third.

The event was hosted by athletes Steve Backley and Danny Crates.
