Two people charged with drug offences in Strood have both appeared in court.

Marco Nunes, 25, of Ibscott Close, Dagenham and a 17-year-old girl from Chafford Hundred in Essex were both charged with drug offences after being stopped in a car on Friday, February 2.

Officers became suspicious of the car around 11am and stopped them.

Police are thanking all those who helped in the search.

They were subsequently both arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin, and the teenager was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis.

The pair appeared before Medway Magistrates' Court the following day, and Marco Nunes was remanded to appear before Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, March 2.

The teenage girl, who was bailed with conditions, will also appear at the same court on the same day.
