A Walk for Peace bringing together people of different cultures and backgrounds, will head through the Towns this Saturday.

Organised by the Medway Inter-Faith Action group and aims to promote friendship and embrace positive, interfaith and secular relations through a common cause – peace.

Ajaib Hussain, who has helped organise it, said: “The theme of the walk this year is Walking For Oneness to show how, as individuals and families, we are part of a broad neighbourhood of communities, walking together with a single purpose that encourages friendship and mutual respect.

The walk is being organised by Medway Inter Faith Action

“This aims to challenge those who try to impose their views on others as shown by the recent dreadful events in Manchester, London and elsewhere.

“In recognition of these events, we will be having a minute’s silence to think of the loss of loved ones to their families and friends.”
