Thousands of spectators and more than 60 Morris sides came out in glorious sunshine for this year's Sweeps Festival.

It is the 33rd year in a row the event has taken place over the May bank holiday weekend to celebrate the coming of summer.

There was music across more than a dozen stages in Rochester, including in the High Street, Rochester Castle Gardens, pubs, a hotel and a century-old barge.

Punters drank local ales and ciders to the sound of folk banks from across Britain and beyond.
