An amateur photographer has used her skill to pay tribute to Captain Tom Moore's incredible fundraising campaign.

Devon Ingram, from Gillingham photoshopped the image in celebration of Captain Tom Moore's commitment to raising money for the NHS frontline workers battling Covid-19.

The 28-year-old said: "Captain Tom Moore is 99 years old and has walked 100 lengths of his 25 metre garden. I can only relate his age to older relatives of mine and there is no way they could do that.

"This is also the second time he’s stood up and protected his country, first during the Second World War and now.

"Many, many people in this country take our NHS for granted, but the amount of money he has raised is mind blowing.

"I’ve recently learned that Captain Tom Moore now has a Pride of Britain award, and it is an honour to create something so personal to him."

The photograph was edited in Photoshop.

Devon took a picture of her partner's eye before adding things in and around the eye with layers.

Each layer allowed Devon to add or remove something from the original photograph and the finished image took her just under two days to complete.

Devon said: "In the centre of the eye is the planet, our country and seas.

"I decided to put Captain Tom Moore in the centre of this newly created Earth, I thought this would be appropriate considering he’s the centre of our country at the moment!

"There are three images of Tom Moore, one during the Second World War, one with his medals and one from more recent times.

"Britain is a great country and I’m very proud to be apart of it..."

"At the top right side of the eye you will see Spitfires and smoke, while just underneath you will find our very own Number 10 Downing Street, our courageous Prime Ministers Mr Churchill and Mr Johnson.

"Moving around the eye you’ll see the coronavirus followed by more planes.

"In the bottom left you’ll see a picture of my own nan and grandad who both served and actually met in the war. Next to them is a tank and trenches with our brave soldiers running to battle.

"Below our soldiers you’ll notice two modern day ambulances racing to save lives.

"In the tear duct sits my own sister, who is a nurse wearing her PPE, and finally a tear bearing our flag."

Devon incorporated events from Captain Tom’s life, in the past and present, mixed together to show the amazing life he has led so far.

The photographer said: "Britain is a great country and I’m very proud to be a part of it.

"We have donated to Captain Tom Moore’s JustGivingPage, but obviously I am never going to achieve something substantial like that, so I just wanted to try my best and do something with my creativity, something to show my gratitude to him, our NHS and our Prime Minister.

"I would love to think he has seen it but with 70,000 birthday cards and counting, I’m doubtful."
