Police want to hear from anyone who witnessed a possible kidnap in Strood on Wednesday.

Officers are appealing for information following the suspicious incident in Roman Way, Strood at 11.20pm.

The remote spot on a hill above the Medway Valley Leisure Park was cordoned off until Thursday.

A caller stated they had seen a person, who they think may have been a youth, being put in a car apparently against their will.

DCI Jon Clayden said: ˜We are keen to hear from anyone who can help us with this investigation. We have not had any reports of missing people and we are keen to hear from any parents who may have found their teenager late at night in the Strood area and taken them home.

˜Clearly this is a concerning incident and we are keen to find out exactly what has occurred. We are now in the process of examining CCTV and are following-up on a number of lines of enquiry.

"If anyone can help police with this investigation, please contact Kent Police."

Call Kent Police on 101 quoting reference 11*1872. Alternatively contact Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
