Police in Medway who were appealing for information about the whereabouts of a man reported missing say he has now been found safe and well.

Earlier this week, officers appealed for information to help find Leigh Oakley, 43, who was last seen around 9am on Monday, November 17.

He had told his family he was heading to a meeting in Barnsole Road, but it had been thought he had caught a train up to the north of England.

A police spokesman said this morning (Saturday) that Mr Oakley was found safe and well on Friday.
