Police arrest three teens for vehicle theft in Borstal

Police descended on a village and arrested three teenagers following a high speed car chase.
At around 7.45am a police car was spotted tailing a van, going through Borstal.
The vehicle had been stolen from a front drive in Taunton Vale, Gravesend at around 3.45am.
Police received a report that the driver of the van had filled up at a service station on City Way, Rochester, and made off without paying.
At 7.45am officers spotted the van and raced after it.
Councillor Stuart Tranter of St Margaret's Street, Borstal said: "I saw the chase from my house.
"I said to my wife, I've never seen anyone go so fast.
"It was a ridiculous speed."
The chase ended in a crash, as the van collided with a skip in Cookham Hill, Borstal, and three more police cars were spotted making their way to the scene.
In the nearby Borstal Recreation Ground, off Shorts Way, five police officers ran onto the field and arrested a 19-year-old man of no fixed abode.
An eye witness said: "The young lad went past me five minutes earlier and sounded agitated on his phone.
"I was on other side of field when police arrived and I heard shouting."
A 16-year-old boy from Gravesend and a 15-year-old girl, from Chatham were arrested at Cookham Hill, Rochester, at 7.50am on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
