Woman robbed in home in Tramways, Luton in Chatham

A woman was robbed inside her own home by a thug wearing a scarf to hide his face.

Detectives investigating the robbery say a man entered her home in Tramways, in Luton, Chatham, and demanded she hand over money.

It is understood the robber, who was wearing black clothing, had a hood up and wore a scarf obscuring most of his face, then assaulted the woman before leaving with several hundred pounds.

The incident happened at about 2.45pm on Saturday. The woman, in her 40s, suffered swelling to her right temple.

The robber is said to be about 5ft 7ins with a medium build.
