McDonald's fight: No arrests after brawl at Strood restaurant

Police have launched an investigation into a brawl which broke out in a McDonald's over the weekend.

A video of three men fighting with a security guard at the restaurant in Commercial Road, Strood, surfaced on Saturday.

The incident happened at about 3.20am that morning and was reported to police at the time.

No arrests have been made at present but officers are asking anyone with information to get in touch.

No one was seriously hurt in the melee.

The video shows three men launch themselves at the bouncer, knocking him to the floor and continuing their assault.

At one point a yellow wet floor sign is chucked at the helpless guard.

Spokesman James Walker said: "Inquiries into the incident are ongoing. Anyone with information can phone Kent Police on 01634 792209 quoting 46/75258/19.

"Alternatively contact the independent charity Crimestoppers in Kent anonymously on 0800 555 111."

A McDonald’s spokesman said: “The safety and security of our people and customers is our absolute priority, and it is extremely disappointing to see this sort of behaviour in the restaurant.

"We do not tolerate any form of violence or abuse and will be cooperating fully with the police investigation.”
