Hundreds of homes in Strood hit by power cut

A power cut left hundreds of homes in Strood without electricity.

According to the UK Power Networks website, the incident was caused by an underground cable faulting on the high voltage network.

A total of 179 homes reported to have been affected by the area wide outage.
