A road was closed after a lorry collided with electricity cables.
The vehicle hit the power lines in Berengrave Lane, Rainham, at around 3pm on Monday.
More than 100 homes were left without power as UK Power Network worked to fix the problem.
One witness who drove past explained seeing a police van blocking the entrance to the road.
All lights along the Lower Rainham Road were out following the incident and no injuries were reported.
