Man faces trial after sawn-off shotgun and stash of cocaine found in Gillingham

A man allegedly linked to a large stash of cocaine and a sawn-off, double-barrelled shotgun will stand trial later this year.

Wade Guy, 32, was arrested by police after 750g of the class A drug and the firearm were found during a search of a property in Hillyard Close, Gillingham, on April 30.

Guy appeared at Maidstone Crown Court yesterday via prison video link.

He pleaded not guilty to possessing cocaine with intent to supply and possessing a prohibited weapon.

His trial is expected to start in a two-week period starting September 30.

Judge Adele Williams remanded Guy, of Firethorn Close, Gillingham, in custody until a further case management hearing on July 26.
