Student stabbed outside Victory Academy in Chatham

A Year 11 student has been stabbed.
The attack on the boy from the Victory Academy in Magpie Hall Road, Chatham, occurred outside shops close to the school premises after class yesterday afternoon.
Police said they were called at 3.19pm and found a boy who had been stabbed twice in the leg.
He was taken to Medway Maritime hospital for treatment, but has since been discharged.
Two teenage boys were later arrested in connection with the incident and taken into custody.
The victim and suspects are believed to be known to each other.
The two have since been released on police bail pending further investigations.
Officers are appealing for anybody who witnessed the incident to contact the appeal line.
Motorists with dashcam and residents with private CCTV are also asked to check for footage that may assist the investigation.

The school principal, Michelle Smith, said: "We can confirm there was an incident yesterday outside school involving a Victory student.
"We are pleased to say that he is now at home and safe.
"We are continuing to work closely with the authorities to support their inquiries. As an academy, the health, safety and wellbeing of our students is our highest priority, and as such we are providing pastoral support if any students have questions.
"We would encourage any parents or carers who may have concerns to contact the Academy directly.”
