Invicta Dynamos coach Kevin Parrish says life with the Mos is currently "like a game of snakes and ladders".

Parrish admitted his frustration as the morale-boosting 3-2 ENIHL Southern Cup win over Chelmsford on Sunday was followed by the departure of a key player hours later.

Dynamos forward Robbie Brown – who only joined in the summer from Wightlink Raiders – requested his release to join EPL side Peterborough Phantoms.

The 20-year-old Ulsterman, pictured, recorded 17 points in his 13 Mos appearances but will join former Invicta team-mate Richard Bentham in the division above.

Parrish admitted: "I feel like I’m playing snakes and ladders. I have never known a season like it. We just can’t find any consistency.

"We are having a good game, then some bad luck, a bad game, another bad game, a good game, some good luck, then another three bad games and some more bad luck."

Next up for Invicta is the visit of title-chasing Romford Raiders in the league on Sunday (5.15pm).

Parrish said: "Sunday is a massive game but we are going to be even shorter as Justin Noble has had to go home for family reasons. We are going to have to dig deep, stick together and try to contain them."
