Second man in court accused of murdering Peter Beale near Rochester Bridge

A second man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Peter Beale in Rochester.

Levi Luke Webb, 21, of Station Road in Northfleet, appeared via video link at Medway Magistrates' Court this morning, charged with one count of murder.

He spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.

Webb was previously arrested in Brighton alongside a teenage girl from Hove on Saturday, September 20.

He was remanded in custody and will next at Maidstone Crown Court on Tuesday, October 30.

The charge comes after another man was also charged with murder.

He appeared at Maidstone Crown Court yesterday and cannot be named for legal reasons.

Father-of-one Peter Beale, 39, from Sittingbourne, was found with stab wounds next to Rochester Bridge on Tuesday, September 18.
