Police have closed a slip road in Chatham after an accident which caused two people to be taken to hospital.

Officers were called to the slip road leading from Maidstone Road to the Bridgewood roundabout at 3pm following reports of a collision involving two cars and a lorry.

Motorists are being warned of heavy traffic in the area.

A spokesman said: “Officers attended and two people were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

"One of these motorists suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.

“The slip road is currently closed to allow for recovery of the vehicles, and traffic is heavier in the area as a result.”
