Soldier Harry Brooker found hanged in Brompton Barracks, Chatham

A 20-year-old soldier was found dead in his room, an inquest has heard.

Harry Brooker was a Sapper based at Brompton Barracks.

He was found hanged in his bedroom at the army base on December, 11.

A hearing heard, originally from Swindon, he was a bright and happy man, who had recently visited his parents.

At the inquest, held at The Archbishops Palace in Maidstone, today, the coroner said: "There was no doubt that it was suicide."
