Staff and emergency workers attacked at Chatham and Ramsgate railway stations

One man has been arrested, and another charged, for assaulting staff and emergency workers.

The separate incidents took place near Chatham and Ramsgate railway stations.

Ramsgate Railway Station

The British Transport Police said: "A male has been charged for criminal damage and assaulting an emergency worker, after having been arrested early yesterday morning.

"He has been bailed to appear at court."

Officers also arrested a man at Ramsgate after staff at the station were attacked.

The officers had to restrain the male on the floor due to his violent nature.
