A 17-year-old boy has been arrested after a girl was sexually assaulted.

Police made the arrest after the victim fought off a 6ft male in Binney Road, next to Allhallows Marshes, on Thursday, March 16.

The victim was allegedly assaulted at around 8pm while she was walking along the road.

Yesterday, a teenager from Rochester was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault. He remains in custody.

Police are continuing to appeal for anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesman said: "Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the area, saw anything suspicious or who has dashcam, CCTV or doorbell cameras which might assist enquiries."
