Rainham teenager hurt in crash at junction of London Road and Bloors Lane in Rainham

A teenager was seriously hurt after being hit by a vehicle during rush hour on Friday morning.
The boy, 13, believed to be a pupil at a local school, was injured at the junction of London Road and Bloors Lane, Rainham.
He has suffered serious head injuries and been flown to King's College Hospital in London.
The emergency services were called at 8.20am. Witnesses described seeing five police cars and four ambulances. Hospital staff said the boy's condition was "stable" on Sunday afternoon.
The air ambulance landed at the nearby PlayFootball ground in London Road.
The boy was treated at the scene for more than an hour before being flown to hospital.
The Sittingbourne-bound carriageway of the A2 London Road was closed for several hours while crash scene investigators dealt with the scene.
The officers are appealing for witnesses after the accident which happened shortly after 8am.
It is under stood the boy, who has not been named, was crossing the road when the accident happened.
Officers say he was hit by a white VW Transporter van heading towards Rainham.
The driver stopped at the scene.
The boy was taken to the London hospital and the road was closed for just under three hours as officers carried out their investigations.
