A teenage girl was pushed to the floor and had her shoes stolen in an unprovoked attack.
The youngster was walking in Rainham when a man approached her, attacked her and then took the footwear.
Officers investigating the incident in Langdale Close on Friday, October 2 have now issued CCTV images of a motorcyclist who could be vital to inquiries.
It was reported to have happened at about 3.30pm.
Police spoke to several witnesses and reviewed CCTV footage. They believe a man wearing a crash helmet could have vital information about the robbery.
The victim was not injured and the suspect reportedly fled the scene.
Investigating officer PC Ben Slocombe said: "While we appreciate these images are not of the highest quality, we believe the man in them has important information that can help with our enquiries.
"If anyone recognises the individual from his crash helmet, his clothing or bike, I encourage them to get in contact with us at their earliest opportunity.
"Likewise, I would ask any motorists who were travelling in the area to review their dash cameras to see if they have captured the bike being ridden in the area."
Anyone with information is asked to call Kent Police on 01634 792209 quoting 46/176555/20.
Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers in Kent anonymously on 0800 555 111.
