Teenagers in court on suspicion of possessing knives and drugs after fight in Gillingham

Two 17-year-olds have appeared in court on suspicion of possessing knives, drugs and criminal property, following a fight in Gillingham.

The teenagers were arrested after police were called to reports of a disturbance in Tizard Place, Jeffery Street, just before 1pm on Sunday.

They appeared at Medway Magistrates' Court the following day and were remanded in custody to appear at Medway Youth Court on April 6.

One was charged with possession of a bladed weapon and affray, and the other with possession of a bladed weapon, possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and acquiring, using or possessing criminal property.
