Teenagers threaten children in park in Princes Avenue near Chatham

Police are on the hunt for two teenagers who confronted younger children at a play park.

It is reported the pair made inappropriate comments and displayed threatening behaviour towards the youngsters.

The incident happened in Princes Avenue, near Downland Walk, at around 5.20pm on Monday.

The duo, both boys, left the area shortly after.

Walderslade Girls’ School, which is nearby, told parents and pupils: “Please be aware we have been notified of an incident in the park near Maundene School.

“Please ask your children to be careful and report any suspicious behaviour to the police.”

A number of other people were in the area at the time and police are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious.
