There is somthing wrong with the design of a new set of steps installed as part of a £4 million uplift to a town.
Medway Council officials have been made aware of a spelling error carved into stone laid by the tread on the end of Railway Street in Chatham.
The strangely-worded phrase embedded on the steps: "What makes a town? The man who was trying to get somthing going starting with himself?"
One councillor has described the missing E from the word something as "shocking".
