Three Medway men have been arrested and charged as part of a police crackdown on burglaries.

Officers have made 15 arrests since Op Castle, a campaign against burglary, started at the end of October.

They include Sean Naylor, 21, of Lodge Hill Lane in Chattenden, and Connor Fuller, 19, of Bradbourne Avenue, Rainham, who have been charged with the burglary of a property in Dawes Street, Gillingham, on October 9.

Ian Thomas, 33, of Kestrel Road in Lordswood, has also been charged with a burglary in Coombe Close, Lordswood, which was reported on September 21.

Op Castle, which runs every year, aims to teach the public how to avoid becoming a victim of burglary while at the same time bringing offenders to justice.

Supt Nicola Faulconbridge, deputy district commander for the North Division, said: "We have seen a drop in the number of burglaries is year but officers across the division are continuing their efforts to locate offenders and educate people on protecting their homes.

"We want to make it as hard as possible for would-be offenders to commit crime and make them aware that if they do offend we will make every effort to bring them to justice."
