Parents at an infant school in Gillingham have been warned to stay vigilant after three people were seen filming children.

Kent Police was called at 3.26pm on Monday to Hempstead Infant School in Hempstead Road, Gillingham.

Two teenagers and an elderly woman were seen filming school children from a van but when police arrived they had already left the scene.

Head Teacher at Hempstead Infant School, Kate Taylor, said: “We are aware of an incident which took place outside of the school gates on Monday.

"We regularly remind the children of the importance of not speaking to strangers and would also encourage parents to reiterate this message at home.

"If you witness anything suspicious outside of school I would encourage you to contact the police immediately.”

Anyone with any information can call Kent Police on 01634 792209 quoting 16-0764.
