Residents had varying degrees of success in spotting the lunar eclipse through the thunderstorm in Kent.

Last night saw the longest "blood moon" in a century rise through the sky.

The thunderstorm clouds made it difficult to spot the red moon but some residents managed to get pictures.

Jade Whelan 23, was lucky enough to spot the natural phenomenon from her home in Gillingham.

She said: "It was incredible to see.
