YOUNGSTERS were able to have fun while raising money for a meningitis charity. All proceeds from the Toddle Waddle held at the Stirling Centre in Rochester will go to the Meningitis Trust.

Under fives took part in their usual activities, including colouring and a bouncy castle. Their supervisors donated their wages for the session, the head of the Stirling Centre, Janet Head, is to donate the money collected on the door, and parents also contributed. McDonalds in Strood gave drinks and vouchers, and Tesco in Rainham provided items to be raffled.

Supervisor Emma Rushforth, who runs the regular activities with Rachel Cove, said: "All the parents have been very supportive and we are very grateful for all the help from local businesses. The Meningitis Trust is a good cause and we wanted to do our bit."
