What you need to know about Great Lines Gillingham firework display

People will be dazzled by a spectacular fireworks display.

Medway’s bonfire and firework spectacle takes to the skies above the Great Lines on Saturday, November 2.

The free family extravaganza starts at 7pm with the Mayor of Medway, Cllr Habib Tejan, lighting the giant bonfire.

Hot food and drink will be available at the heritage park, but there are no public toilets or parking.

Visitors can park at the Britton Farm car park in Jeffery Street, Gillingham.

No personal fireworks or pets are allowed on site.

There will be road closures in Gillingham; Marlborough Road will be shut between its junctions with Brompton Road and York Avenue 6pm-9pm as will Lock Street, Paget Street and Stafford Street.

Brompton Road will be closed between Mill Road and Prince Arthur Road 7pm-8.30pm and Mill Road will be one-way 6pm-8.15pm.
