Traffic reports say vehicles were stopped at 12.45pm just after the Medway bridge.

The closure is said to have been affecting all local traffic around the Medway towns.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called to the coastbound carriageway of the M2 between Junctions 2 and 3 at 12.33pm following a report of an overturned car.
