A group of travellers who have been pitched up at a town centre car park for almost a week have been told to leave.
Medway Council issued the group with a quit notice after they arrived at Chatham Riverside beside Chatham Community Hub, off Dock Road last Wednesday.
On Sunday, November 3, travellers who had arrived at Rainham shopping centre were told to leave.
Days later, travellers - believed to be the same group - pitched up in Chatham, close to the bus station.
James Brown, head of regulatory services at Medway Council, said of the encampment in Chatham: “We will be following a civil legal process to move the group on.”
