Travellers have set up on a patch of land.

Locals saw caravans arriving on playing fields in Beechings Way in Twydall, Gillingham, last night.

Police were called out just before 10pm.

Officers also received a report of criminal damage after a gate lock was said to be broken.

Police attended and the landowner has been informed.
