Edmund Nela has been cleared of murdering Strood father Xhem Krasniqi

Police believe a dispute between two warring families could have led to the murder of Mr Krasniqi and are continuing to hunt his killer.

On Wednesday, they revealed they believe he was murdered by 30-year-old Edmund Nela.

Officers are still seeking Nela and and warned members of the public not to approach them.

Mr Krasniqi's family earlier paid tribute to a "devoted family man".

They said: "Xhem was a loving and devoted family man living a normal life in Kent.

"He worked very hard as a scaffolder and was a good provider for his wife and children.

"He loved his family and friends very much and was the type of man who would do anything for anyone.

"He was a father of a four-year-old girl and a seven-year-old boy who miss their Daddy very much."
