Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash in the Medway Tunnel this morning.

Kent Police were called to a report of a collision in the tunnel at around 11.30am.

The crash happened on the Gillingham-bound carriageway and involved two vehicles.

South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended and two injured people were taken to hospital.

The tunnel was closed while emergency crews attended but has since been reopened.
