A drug dealer who bragged about being untouchable has been jailed for more than five years after a police raid at a home he was staying at.

Batare Evwierhoma, 24, was arrested when officers entered the home in Lodge Hill Lane, Chattenden, in January.

The raid, which followed an investigation by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, resulted in the discovery of large quantities of heroin and crack cocaine.

Officers also searched his car and found drugs stored in a tin, a deodorant can and a chewing gum pot.

Evwierhoma, of Birkhall Road in Catford, London, was charged with two counts of possessing class A drugs with intent to supply.

He was jailed for five years and seven months at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday after pleading guilty to the offences.

DI Gary Scarfe, who investigated the case, said: "Evwierhoma used Medway as a base to supply heroin and crack cocaine to other parts of Kent and had previously taunted the police that he was untouchable.

"Not only is another drug dealer now in prison, but a significant amount of drugs destined for the streets of Kent have been seized and destroyed.

"I hope this sends a clear message that no one is untouchable and that if you deal drugs then you will eventually be brought to justice."
