Police investigating man approaching woman in Motney Hill Road, Rainham, near dogging site before running away.

A woman was approached by a suspicious unknown man near a dogging site.

Police were called at 8.43am today to the secluded nature reserve in Motney Hill Road, Rainham.

Kent Police is investigating the "suspicious incident", after the man approached the woman and then ran away.

A police spokeswoman said: "Officers have carried out a search of the area and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."

The area was cordoned off for the duration of the morning and dog walkers were turned away from the site.

The small car park on Motney Hill Road is listed on a swinging website as a good spot for "daytime fun".
