Officers are investigating after a woman was reportedly assaulted in Chatham.

Police were called to Luton Road at 11.35am today.

The ambulance service was also called to the scene and are assessing the woman for any injuries.

Officers remain at the scene and inquiries are ongoing.

A witness said he saw up to five police cars and two ambulances in the road.
