Chloe Charnley from Medway charged following attempted robbery in Gillingham High Street

A woman has been charged after she allegedly threatened shop staff with a blade and demanded money.

Chloe Charnley, from Medway, was arrested on Sunday after police were called to a reported attempted robbery at a fast food outlet in Gillingham High Street.

The 28-year-old, formerly of Rushdean Road in Strood, was charged on Monday and was remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court yesterday.

At the hearing, she was further remanded to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Tuesday, December 17.
