Woman critical after falling from fourth floor of Caulkers House in Chatham

A woman in her 30s is fighting for her life today after falling from a block of flats in Chatham.

She was taken by Kent Air Ambulance to King's College Hospital, in London, after suffering head injuries in the incident at Caulkers House in Shipwrights Avenue.

It is believed she fell from the fourth floor of the flats just before 11pm on Friday.

A land ambulance crew and police were also at the scene. Her condition remained critical this morning.

Kent Police said there no suspicious circumstances.

The 13-storey block, off Magpie Hall Road, is a familiar part of the Medway skyline.

It is owned by the housing association London and Quadrant.
