A woman had to be cut free from her car after a crash in Upchurch.

The emergency services were called to Breach Lane just after 11am this morning.

The female motorist, whose age is unknown, had suspected neck and spinal injuries.

Firefighters from Medway and Sittingbourne cut the door off her car so paramedics could get her out of the vehicle safely. They were on the scene for around an hour.

The air ambulance was scrambled but the woman was taken to hospital by land ambulance.
