Woman taken to hospital after car overturns on Borstal Street, Rochester

A woman has been taken to hospital after a car ended up on its roof following a crash.

The red Mercedes was blocking Borstal Street in the village of Borstal earlier this morning.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene at around 3am.

Three fire engines were also in attendance, and fire fighters removed the woman from the car.

She was then taken to Medway Maritime Hospital, her injuries are unknown.

The collision involved four vehicles and the road had to be closed while the overturned car was recovered.

Witnesses say police have been on the scene this morning.

The road was reopened at around 6.30am.
