A woman is hoping to raise hundreds of pounds to help Alzheimer’s Society.

Lucinda Lemmon from Rochester will be taking part in the Leeds Castle Memory Walk tomorrow (Saturday).

The care home worker is being joined by colleagues Sarah Bagnell, Michelle Hicks and Melanie Robinson and together the group will walk 10km.

The 34-year-old said: "The work the charity does to raise awareness is so important. We work every day with some incredible people who have dementia but I think there are still far too many people who do not know enough about the condition.

"It’s so important to change this and encourage people to get involved in events like Memory Walk.

"I love my job, I find it so rewarding and we prove to people that being in a care home does not have to be something bad, same as having dementia. We believe you can live well with the condition and want more people to be aware of this."

The group of four are aiming to raise around £100 each .
