Plans approved for Zizzi at Chatham Dockside

Plans to open an Italian restaurant at a shopping outlet have been approved.

Zizzi will be launching its first Medway branch in a disused unit at Chatham Dockside.

In May, plans were submitted to make alterations to the frontage of two units below PureGym.

The empty eateries, based at the former Dickens World Centre in Leviathan Way, were previously occupied by Villagio and Chimichanga until they closed in 2021 and 2018 respectively.

Zizzi already has branches in Maidstone, Bluewater, Canterbury, Sevenoaks and Whitstable.

The plans can be viewed on the Medway Council website here by searching for the application number 23/1155.
