Appeal after Medway Tunnel crash

Officers are appealing for information following a crash in the Medway Tunnel.

The accident happened on Tuesday, September 25, but Kent Police has only just appealed for witnesses to come forward.

The emergency services were called to the westbound carriageway (Strood-bound) of the tunnel at about 5.20pm.

The incident involved a silver Vauxhall Vivaro van and a blue Volkswagen Lupo.

Both of the drivers were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Traffic control was put in place while the vehicles were recovered and the road was fully reopened by 7.30pm.
