Information is being sought after what police have described as a “suspicious incident” involving two teenagers.
It took place on the morning of Tuesday, August 15 when two 14-year-old girls were walking along Hawthorn Road towards Cedar Road, Strood.
It is alleged a car stopped next to the pair and they were spoken to by the driver and passenger, who were both men and unknown to the girls.
One of the men is reported to have put an arm out of a window and touched the hip of one of the girls.
The family of one of the teens has alleged “a few attempts” were made to grab the girls and described the incident as an “attempted abduction”.
The family member also said the car mounted the kerb to try to stop the girls from escaping.
Police have confirmed they were called to a suspicious incident at 8.10am.
Officers attended and inquiries are ongoing.
